At First Line Physiotherapy, we are transparent about our costs and promise that they are both competitive for the location and provide exceptional value for the quality time you will spend with the professional you are working with.

Is physiotherapy right for me?
Physiotherapy can be helpful for many people. This includes people experiencing pain from an injury or chronic condition, people who are looking to start an exercise program, or individuals who are seeking an expert opinion about how to improve their physical health and overall well-being. Do I need a doctor’s referral to come to physiotherapy?
No, some people come seek physiotherapy as per their Doctor’s recommendation, but no referral is needed in order to see a physiotherapist. Some insurance companies require a referral, so if you are planning on using your insurance, make sure you check with your provider.
Is Physiotherapy covered by OHIP?
No, as a private health care clinic, our services are not covered by OHIP, but many people have extended health benefits that include Physiotherapy and Massage Therapy services. We are able to directly bill many commonly used insurers, and if we cannot, we will make sure to provide you with a paper copy and/or electronic invoice so that you can be compensated for your session.
How do I book A session?
With our online booking system, booking an appointment is quite simple. In just a few clicks, you can book an appointment with the practitioner of your choice, for the amount of time you need, at a time that works with your busy schedule. All consent forms are also available upon booking to help streamline your clinical experience. You could also call the clinic and one of our team members will be happy to assist you with booking and direct you to the online consent forms.
What should I do before my session?
Shortly after you book, you will be sent emails with the intake package where you will be asked to fill out the information that we need to get started. Also, you will be sent the initial consent form which must be signed prior to beginning your first session. More detailed consent forms, as well as policies and procedures of First Line Physiotherapy can be sent to you upon request.
What should I bring to my session?
Please dress as comfortably as possible. If possible, for injuries or pain below the waist, bring a pair of shorts, and for injuries or pain above the waist, bring a tank top to change into. These clothing options will help you to feel more comfortable and help give your therapist easier access to areas that might be contributing to your pain.
What will happen when I arrive at the clinic?
You will be greeted by a member of our Administration team, followed by the professional that you are scheduled with. You will be one-on-one with your therapist for the entirety of your appointment, where they will conduct an initial assessment, and provide a variety of treatments to help you work towards achieving your goals. If it’s an initial visit, the therapist will focus on understanding the issues at hand and developing a comprehensive plan of care that best suits your needs. If it is a follow-up visit, you and the therapist will work together to progress through that plan of care until your injury or condition is managed.
